Mechanical Design Engineers with an aptitude to sell are perfect for this position!

This position is responsible for bridging the gap between production, R&D, other departments and the market. First contact to the customer for each first request

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Contact for existing and new customer about commercial and technical topics 40%
  2. Coordinates actions between production, R&D and customer in regards to new products, new developments or adjustments in Supply-Chain 30%
  3. Creates market strategies, forecast, budgets, market analysis, negotiations and review of payment to ensure greatest returns for company 10%
  4. Provides Input to R&D for new development and to customers for possibilities and optimizations 10%
  5. Managing inside-Sales and providing tools for Day-to-Day-Business 10%

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Strengthens the network with customer's design and engineering staff
  2. Develop/redesign support and customer partnering
  3. Keep abreast of industry and market trends
  4. Provide customer support in the optimization of current product
  5. Develop complete understanding of the product line technical capabilities
  6. Support R&D by engaging in specific technical projects to aid in customer and partner adoption
  7. Develop white papers, demos, configurations, presentations when needed
  8. Provide support on internal roll-out to customers when requested
  9. Technical communication of product capabilities
  10. Aid product management in specific technical projects around customer/partner enablement
  11. Responsible for maintaining customer service and developing/retaining relationships with customers
  12. Develop complete understanding of the product line technical capabilities
  13. Establishes drafts of annual plan and budget to achieve corporate objectives
  14. Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product
  15. Develops sales forecasts and market strategies that ensure the greatest returns for the company.
  16. Direct sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
  17. Reviews market analyses to determine customers' situation/needs, price levels.
  18. Directs and coordinates sales distribution by identifying sales targets and sets goals.
  19. Analyzes and controls expenditures of department to conform to budgetary requirements.
  20. Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client based expansion.
  21. Follows up on credit/payment issues in cases of direct business with customers

REQUIREMENTS/COMPETENCY

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent education required
  2. Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Science Degree with concentration in Thermodynamics/ Heat Transfer/ Thermal Science/ Fluid Mechanics is a plus
  3. Minimum of 2+ to 5 years professional experience in this field
  4. Demonstrates skill as a leader
  5. Accepts and delegates high levels of responsibility for processes affecting the organization's long term welfare
  6. Deals effectively with all levels of personnel, internal and external
  7. Maintains professional contacts with domestic and international representatives
  8. Performs to high level of self-discipline and ethics to protect the company's interests.
  9. Excellent communication and presentation skills are required
  10. German language is beneficial

ACCOUNTABILITY/SCOPE

Responsible for sales volume and sales prices. Helps to continually improve processes (internal and external) with better customer service and a higher margin. Guides R&D to develop the proper products that the market needs. Develops a strategy to reach the company goals. Develops and leads Inside Sales people.
