Qualifications:
- Associates degree or equivalent experience working with customer service or sales.
- Strong skills in Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
Duties & expectations:
- Be a main point of contact for customers for quote inquiries, purchase order placement and status and other related commercial aspects.
- Be liaison between customers and internal departments of Engineering, Production, Quality, Upper Management and IT.
- Data entry of quotes and purchase orders in a manner that is accurate and timely.
- Develop business relationships to achieve growth and confidence within the company to our customer base.
- Interact with customers via phone, email or in person. In person interaction includes both on site or at customer’s site as required.
- Follow up on quotations and provide feedback to estimating.
- Update and expedite order status to meet customer and internal schedules.
- Use tools such as milestones, charts, inch stone or other to track orders and communicate with all parties most effectively.
- Support marketing with PowerPoint presentations, input on websites, brochures or other related marketing tools that may be needed.
- In the event of lack of work or another department needing assistance, may be asked to do other office related tasks.
- Maintain a positive attitude and punctuality.
- Work in a team environment.
- Look for continuous improvement of processes and understand the contribution to the effectiveness of the QMS.
- Aware of quality policies, procedures, objectives, contribution to conformance of product, safety and ethics.
