We are looking for Maintenance Mechanics (levels I, II and III) to work 1st and 2nd shift.

1st shift hours 5:00am – 1:30pm + OT

2nd shift 1:30pm – 11:30pm + Overtime for both

The Maintenance Mechanic II is responsible for performing intermediate-level maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and systems within an FDA-regulated chemical manufacturing and packaging environment. This role supports production operations by ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The incumbent works independently on routine tasks and assists with more complex mechanical and electrical repairs.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment such as conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors, and basic packaging or process equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems Execute schedule preventive maintenance (PM) on production lines utilities, and facility systems according to approved procedures.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement timely corrective actions
  • Perform and assist with changeover, line set-ups, and equipment adjustments to support daily production.
  • Support senior mechanics with complex repairs, equipment overhauls, and installation or modification projects.
  • Support production by responding promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimizing downtime
  • Assist with installation, setup, and modification of machinery and equipment
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematics
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation in compliance with FDA and company requirements
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety procedures, GMPs, and company policies
  • Assist in maintaining spare parts inventory and notifying leadership of needed materials
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure equipment meets operational and regulatory standards
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability
  • Accurately document all maintenance work, follow LOTO, machine guarding, and other safety procedures.
  • Maintain work areas, tools, and spare parts in clean and organized condition.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, conveyors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting skills (e.g., motors, sensors, switches)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with FDA-regulated environments and GMP standards preferred

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, mechanical systems, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in chemical or FDA-regulated industries
