Manual Machinist

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Machinist Operator with tooling experience to support our light manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for operating grinding equipment to produce small, precision parts to exact specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Set up and operate grinding machines to grind small parts to required tolerances.
2. Utilize tooling knowledge to adjust machines for optimal performance.
3. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
4. Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
5. Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized.
6. Follow all safety procedures and company production standards.

Qualifications:

1. 2+ years of experience as a machinist or machine operator in a manufacturing environment.
2. Hands-on tooling experience.
3. Proficient in grinding operations for small parts.
4. Ability to work from technical drawings and use precision measuring tools.
5. Strong attention to detail and quality standards.

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred
