Job Summary:
Selecting and installing the appropriate punch and die, adjusting the ram height and setting the stroke length, and operating the machine.
Responsibilities:
· Operate and make required set-ups on presses performing a limited variety of component operations, setting dies, adjusting stroke, greasing leader pins, attaching and adjusting safety equipment, work with parts similar in nature, but varying in size or detail.
· Obtain first piece inspection release, check work during run for dimensions, burrs, broken punches, cracking or buckling, and visually inspect components for obvious damage or defects.
· Work from drawings, shop orders, and samples.
· Use a variety of measuring equipment.
· instruct operator as to special job conditions or safety precautions.
· Notify the supervisor regarding the necessity of reconditioning or sharpening dies, difficulties with parts, or inoperable equipment.
· Move material, parts, dies, and containers, using a hand truck, segregate and remove scrap.
· Follow prescribed safety practices including the use of all safety equipment.

· Able to lift 50 lbs.
· Able to sit, walk, or stand up for lengths of time
